Key features of Intex PureSpa:

intex purespa features
Personalized Heating

Personalized Heating

One of the best things about this intex inflatable hot tub is that you will get a personalized experience each time you take a dip in the tub. This is because of the intelligent heating system which adjusts to fit your personal temperature preference. Unlike other spa sets that get too hot or do not get warm enough, this tub will take out the hassle of going through countless adjustments in your settings to get the right temperature. Your personal spa should reduce stress, not add to it and this tub will guarantee you a stress-free spa experience.

Apart from this, this spa made by the famous intex brand features an insulated cover and lock to help minimize heat loss. That means, you also don’t have to worry about the water getting cold over time. You can stay and relax as much as you want, and it will maintain the ideal temperature for you. The cover also has a lock to provide added safety.

The water temperature reaches up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit and you can increase or decrease it as you please (104° is the legal max). To reach the maximum temperature, keep in mind that the outside temperature must be at least 50 degrees.

hardwater treatment

Hard Water Treatment System

The spa features a built-in hard water treatment system which means the water in the tub will be gentle on your skin as well as your clothes. It will also prevent damage to the spa system. Because of this hard water treatment, there will be no build-up of hard water so that the water has better flow. It will also give your spa a longer lifespan because hard water could cause damage to it.

Creates Suspended Crystals

The intex spa system features an advanced technology that allows it to create suspended crystals. It generates an electromagnetic field that agitates calcium and other minerals in the water which then creates the crystals. These suspended crystals are kept in the cartridge of the filter so that the water in your spa will always be soft.

Control Panel

It includes an easy-to-use digital control panel which allows you to activate the 120 high-powered bubble jets. This produces the bubbles on the interior of the spa giving you a relaxing and refreshing massage. This control panel will also let you adjust the temperature of the bubble sprays. It’s covered with hassle-free high-quality plastic so that it’s safe and protected.

This panel features a digital display with clear colored numbers and symbols so you can easily see the temperature and other settings that you want to adjust on the system. It has a user-friendly interface so you don’t have to be an expert to configure your spa system.

Fiber-Tech Construction

The material of the tub is a highly durable fiber tech construction and it can withstand heavy-duty use. it also provides maximum comfort so you can sit and relax in the tub as long as you want. It has a 3-ply laminated, puncture-resistant material so it doesn’t easily incur holes even if you use it outdoors.

Simple Maintenance

The spa is easy to clean and maintain. It includes two filter cartridges that are easy to replace. You don’t have to call a professional to do the replacement for you.

Convenient Storage

The Intex PureSpa is portable so you can easily transport it from one place of the house to another. The exterior has integrated grab handles with comfortable grips so you can move it around even when inflated.

The set comes with a carry bag so you can put it away easily when not in use or bring the spa system with you when you travel.

Easy to Set Up

The spa system is considered a plug-and-play system. It’s fast and easy to install and you don’t need an expert to set it up for you. You will receive a package that includes several units so you are aware of the different parts that you need to install. It comes with a DVD that will provide you with clear and easy-to-follow instructions to properly set up your spa. No special equipment is necessary that is not included.

Accessories

The Intex PureSpa inflatable hot tub is a complete set that comes with all the necessary accessories you will need to inflate, use, and maintain it.

Heater pump

The spa comes with a heater and this is what keeps the tub warm.

Chlorine Dispenser

It also includes a floating pool chlorine dispenser. You can use this to kill algae or germs that could form in the water inside the tub. It is a drifting container so you can immediately dispense the right amount of chlorine into the water if you need to. You can use chlorine tablet computers which are included when you first purchase the set.

Cover

The cover for the tub is also inflatable. It is designed with durable belts and matching buckles to keep the spa safe and secure. It has a slightly bigger diameter than the tub and you have the option to keep it on or take it off by twisting it.

Summary

The Intex PureSpa Portable Bubble Massage Spa Set is a hassle-free personal spa system that will give you the relaxation that you want without all the stress of complicated installations and setups. It has a control panel that is easy to use. It produces warm soothing bubbles and optimal heating to provide you with a refreshing massage when you need it.

2. Intex 85in PureSpa (6 person)

intex purespa black 6 person spa

Check price & user reviews on Amazon

This is a bigger brother of Intex 77″ spa. It has all the features of the smaller one, but is more spacious and holds more water. The official seating capacity is 6 people. It’s definitely possible with close friends and a lot of legs touching. There are currently no other bigger inflatable hot tubs than this anyway. The picture above will give you a nice example of how spacious it is.

If you want exact information, take a look at the specs below. With a capacity of 290 gallons of water, this thing is a monster with a weight of 2400 lbs when full!

Specs:

  • Seating Capacity: 6 People
  • Water Capacity: 290 Gallons
  • Water Temperature Range: 68-104°F
  • Approximate Inflated Size: Inner/Outer Diameter: 65″/85″ Height: 28″
  • Model Number: 28407E
  • A built-in hard water system
  • Insulated ground cloth
  • Insulated inflatable cover
  • Grab handles for transporting
  • Carry bag for storage
  • Digital control panel
  • 140 Bubble Jets

In comparison to the smaller 77-inch Intex PureSpa which has 120 bubble jets, this one has 140.

Our take on this? You won’t notice the difference. More jets are needed due to the bigger radius, but the difference in number is not important at all.

Both intex hot tubs share the same heater and blower, which means this one will take slightly longer to heat but will hold its temperature longer.

After a tiring day at work, you need something to soothe your muscles and your brain. After, all it’s total fun for you and your loved ones to soak in an inflatable hot tub. But..?

Have you been looking for a spa of your own but got overwhelmed by their high prices and complicated installation process?

Pampering yourself with relaxing and burbling water doesn’t have to break your bank. With this unit, you can soothe your tired muscles and banish your worries without deflating your wallet.

But should you buy this unit? Let’s see whether it lives to its name, read this review, and be prepared to reconsider.

Pros

  • If you’re looking for a portable inflatable hot tub, that will accommodate you and your family. This might be your deal; it’s extra-large to accommodate a family of six.

  • Its floor is well cushioned and fitted with a convenient drain system for easy emptying.
  • This hot tub self-inflates in less than 3 minutes. It can’t get better than this!
  • Comes with a simple control panel to control the heater, massage jets, and filtration system. It provides you with total relaxation at the touch of a button.
  • Fitted with 140 high-powered massaging bubble jets on the inner lining that get to work and provide a refreshing massage.

  • It’s designed with safety in mind. Comes with a floating chemical dispenser to ensure your pool is safe.

  • Packed with one year warranty as an assurance of quality

Cons

  • The bubble system is a bit loud, so may not hear your phone ring
  • The heater turns off automatically when the bubbles are switched on
  • At least a day is required to heat the tub to the maximum temperature

intex pure spa octagonal

Another amazing inflatable hot tub by Intex. This time in an octagonal shape.

We have had our Pure Spa Plus 28431E for not even a year (got it last July and used it until November before storing it) and just this weekend we set it up and noticed a leak at one of the lower connector valves.
The tub was full on Saturday and yesterday (Monday and only two days later) it is already at the minimum water level so, I think there is also another leak somewhere else.
I am not really sure what to do about this because it seems that the customer service at Intex is terrible and that this is also a common problem with these models.

The plug, with it’s own GFCI, is too big for any covered outdoor outlet I can find to install. Anybody know of one? A wet-while-in use model.

There customer service is the worst. I go a new spa as a gift but it leaks air and they will not replace as they say they need the bill. It was a gift and I do not have it. I just need the bladder.

Have model SSP-H-10-2, 110-120V~, 60 Hz, 12 A.
I have a yellow, 15A, 125V, 1875W outdoor cord. Is there a problem plugging the hot tub in using this cord?

Hi Rosemary, according to your specs, it should work (your hot tub needs ~1440 watts). If your cord is too long, the voltage drop and resistance might be too high. I suggest you ask an electrician or just try it out 😉

Hi Ed! That will probably be due to a dirty water flow sensor, or there could be air trapped in there. 😉

intex support stinks my pure spa’s circulating pump took a dump after 1 year was able to repair it but keeps breaking down cannot get the right parts to fix it decided to get a new pump now the web site does not even list the pump, it used to but no more. the pump is a piece of junk to begin with and now I cannot even get the parts to repair it. what a shame, we happen to like the tub when its working. guess i’m going to have to throw it away because intex won’t stand behind their product.and it’s only about 15 months old

Same problems here and I’m on my 4th tub from Intex. My back needs the therapy, but Intex is costing me a fortune having to buy a completely new system every time. INTEX….sell new pumps for CHEAP because the original ones break down quickly.

these hot tubs are great but you are on your own to fix them, my water pump went order one luckily I figured it out. Then the end of 2018 summer my heater went , they told me I needed to order a whole new base 285.oo the parts are not available to the public. anybody that has no heat working try a bucket heater or look on you tube for a solution, Intex makes a great product but they also SUCK

agreed… I’ve gone through 3 and motors always quit after several months. If Intex would come good for a new motor, I’d give the hot tub an AWESOME rating, but without their support, the product sucks once broken! COME ON INTEX…..STEP IT UP in the repair department. I take great care of my tub, so there is no reason you shouldn’t come good for your products.

Yes, with a cover, but will quickly lose temperature when open and even faster with the message bubbles running. If there’s an electricity blackout, the water in the heater and the pump can freeze and break it. If you just plan to have a party and put it up only for a few days, then I wouldn’t be afraid at all.

Is there a website or a youtube video to show me how to deflate and “store” my intex spa for the winter? I bought an outdoor plastic shed (4′ wide x 4′ tall x 2′ deep), can I safely store my spa in this shed? How temperature sensitive is the inflatable tub once it’s deflated? I live in central Oklahoma, we don’t actually have below zero temps that often. when we do, it’s only early morning hours.

This is our first hot tub spa and it’s amazing! But want it to last as long as we can. But, if necessary, it’s so affordable we can always buy another. 😉

If the temperature in the shed won’t fall below the freezing temperature there shouldn’t be any problem. I suggest you take a look at the manual, it’s deflated in the similar fashion as it is inflated – using the included air blower. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgZI70zhrLk 🙂

Hi, this is the model that, according to the intex description has 4 high powered water jets: https://amzn.to/2LaWUWD
Unfortunately, it’s currently unavailable, and the button link led to another hot tub of theirs – which I don’t understand why and am sorry for it 🙁 . Intex itself has it very confusing with similar names and pictures. But this is the one you were looking for: Intex PureSpa Jet & Bubble Deluxe Portable Hot Tub, Octagon, 79″ X 79″ X 28″, Onyx Black. But you have to choose this style on Amazon: “Style: Jet and Massage Spa Set”.

I’m adding this image to the review to prevent confusion.
This is the one with water jets
